Genuine Local Knowledge
As Cambridgeshire natives, we understand local soil conditions, weather patterns, and planning regulations affecting outdoor surfacing solutions .
Sloping lawns, uneven ground and awkward corners put a lot of Peas Hill homeowners off decking, but they are exactly the gardens that benefit most. We design raised and multi-level decking to work with tricky Cambridgeshire plots, giving you a level, usable outdoor space where there was none before.
How we install decking in Peas Hill
The first decision is the material. Softwood is affordable and versatile, treated for a long life. Hardwood brings rich, natural tones with premium strength and durability. Composite is low-maintenance and slip-resistant, and comes in a range of colours. We talk you through each one so you land on the deck that suits your home and budget.
Timber and composite each have their place. Timber gives you natural beauty and warmth, the classic look most people picture when they think of decking. Composite is more low-maintenance and resists fading, rot and warping, which makes it a strong choice if you would rather spend time on the deck than looking after it.
Signs you might need Decking in Peas Hill
- You want to build in features like seating, planters, lighting or steps rather than bolt them on later.
- You would rather have a low-maintenance outdoor space than one that needs constant upkeep.
- Your patio feels cold and hard and you would prefer the natural warmth of timber underfoot.
- You need a deck that stands up to the UK climate without warping, rotting or fading over time.
- Your lawn is uneven or sloping, and raised or multi-level decking would give you a flat, usable surface.
It all starts with a free consultation and a clear, written quotation, so you know exactly what your Peas Hill deck will involve before any work begins. Contact Driveway & Decking Co. to book yours.

Cannot recommend these guys enough. James, Ross, George and John all done an amazing job transforming my driveway and patio. Professional from the outset with a final finish that impresses everyone that sees it, that will last years to come!
We had our driveway done this year and they did a fantastic job. I'm really happy with the outcome. I would recommend this company.
Had these guys do my garden from a recommendation. They have done a fantastic job . My garden now looks amazing. Anyone who's thinking of having a garden makeover or a new drive I highly recommend this company. 10/10
Fantastic team, professional but friendly. They have done a brilliant job on our front drive a few years ago and this year on our back garden, with new decking, imprinted concrete patio and pathway and finished off with a gravel area and turf. They did the whole job from start, clearing the area, working through bad weather where they could and only the recent snow held the job up and only by a couple of days! Definitely recommend 100%. Thanks guys!
Very pleased with our driveway which was completed in January. Communication before the job was great and the work was carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to get imprinted concrete work done.
They did a brilliant job on our garden, good value and a great finish. Highly recommend :)

Frequently Asked Questions
- Yes. Raised and multi-level decking is one of our specialities, ideal for sloping or uneven Peas Hill gardens and for making the most of a view. We build a sound frame and supports so the finished deck is level, stable and safe underfoot.
- It starts with a free consultation and site visit. We look at your Peas Hill garden, discuss materials and design, then provide a clear written quotation with no obligation. Call or message Driveway & Decking Co. to book yours.
- We use slip-resistant finishes across our decking and can add grip strips where extra safety is wanted. That keeps your Peas Hill deck safe to use in the wet as well as the dry, which matters through the autumn and winter months.
- Absolutely. We can integrate planters, seating, lighting, steps and balustrades into your design from the start. Building features in rather than adding them later gives your Peas Hill deck a considered, finished look and makes the whole space work together.
- Yes. We offer a full design-to-installation service, handling everything from concept to completion. Every deck is custom-built to suit your garden's shape, style and needs, so your Peas Hill project is tailored to your space rather than an off-the-shelf kit.
- It depends on what you want. Timber offers natural beauty and warmth, while composite is more low-maintenance and resistant to fading, rot and warping. We help you weigh both up at your free Peas Hill consultation so the choice suits your garden and budget.
- Yes. Finance options are available on decking, so you can spread the cost rather than pay it all up front. Our Peas Hill team will help you find a material, a design and a plan that suits your budget.
- For many Peas Hill homeowners, yes. Composite costs more up front but is low-maintenance and resists fading, rot and warping, and it lasts 25 years or more with proper care. If you want to spend time on the deck rather than maintaining it, it is well worth considering.
- With proper care, softwood decking lasts around 10 to 15 years, hardwood 20 years or more, and composite 25 years or more. Choosing the right material and adding a low-maintenance finish helps your Peas Hill deck reach the top of that range.
- It depends on the material. Composite is the most low-maintenance and simply needs cleaning, while timber benefits from occasional treatment to protect it. We offer low-maintenance finishes across our decking so your Peas Hill deck is easy to keep looking its best.
