How we install decking in Newton
Timber and composite each have their place. Timber gives you natural beauty and warmth, the classic look most people picture when they think of decking. Composite is more low-maintenance and resists fading, rot and warping, which makes it a strong choice if you would rather spend time on the deck than looking after it.
Uneven or sloping gardens are no obstacle. We design raised and multi-level decking that works with the lie of the land, creating a level, usable surface and, where it helps, separate zones for dining, seating or planting linked by steps.
Signs you might need Decking in Newton
- You want somewhere level and practical to relax, entertain or dine outdoors through the warmer months.
- You want to make the most of a garden view with a raised deck that lifts you above the lawn.
- You need a deck that stands up to the UK climate without warping, rotting or fading over time.
- Your lawn is uneven or sloping, and raised or multi-level decking would give you a flat, usable surface.
- Your patio feels cold and hard and you would prefer the natural warmth of timber underfoot.
Spreading the cost is easy too, with finance options available on your decking. Get in touch and our Newton team will help you find the right material, the right design and the right plan for your budget.

Cannot recommend these guys enough. James, Ross, George and John all done an amazing job transforming my driveway and patio. Professional from the outset with a final finish that impresses everyone that sees it, that will last years to come!
We had our driveway done this year and they did a fantastic job. I'm really happy with the outcome. I would recommend this company.
Had these guys do my garden from a recommendation. They have done a fantastic job . My garden now looks amazing. Anyone who's thinking of having a garden makeover or a new drive I highly recommend this company. 10/10
Fantastic team, professional but friendly. They have done a brilliant job on our front drive a few years ago and this year on our back garden, with new decking, imprinted concrete patio and pathway and finished off with a gravel area and turf. They did the whole job from start, clearing the area, working through bad weather where they could and only the recent snow held the job up and only by a couple of days! Definitely recommend 100%. Thanks guys!
Very pleased with our driveway which was completed in January. Communication before the job was great and the work was carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to get imprinted concrete work done.
They did a brilliant job on our garden, good value and a great finish. Highly recommend :)

Frequently Asked Questions
- It depends on what you want. Timber offers natural beauty and warmth, while composite is more low-maintenance and resistant to fading, rot and warping. We help you weigh both up at your free Newton consultation so the choice suits your garden and budget.
- Yes. We can build in planters, seating, lighting, steps and balustrades, designing them into the deck from the start. That gives your Newton deck a finished, considered look where everything works together rather than being bolted on later.
- With proper care, softwood decking lasts around 10 to 15 years, hardwood 20 years or more, and composite 25 years or more. Choosing the right material and adding a low-maintenance finish helps your Newton deck reach the top of that range.
- We use slip-resistant finishes across our decking and can add grip strips where extra safety is wanted. That keeps your Newton deck safe to use in the wet as well as the dry, which matters through the autumn and winter months.
- Timber benefits from occasional care to keep its colour and protect it, while composite simply needs cleaning. We offer low-maintenance finishes across our decking, so your Newton deck is easy to look after whichever material you choose.
- Yes. Composite is the most low-maintenance option, resisting fading, rot and warping and needing little more than a clean. If you would rather enjoy your Newton deck than spend time treating it, composite is well worth considering.
- For many Newton homeowners, yes. Composite costs more up front but is low-maintenance and resists fading, rot and warping, and it lasts 25 years or more with proper care. If you want to spend time on the deck rather than maintaining it, it is well worth considering.
