How we install pattern imprinted concrete in St Ives
Care is taken to protect your property throughout. Sturdy boards shield lawns and borders during preparation, walls are masked to prevent staining, and rubbish is cleared with a grab wagon rather than a skip left sitting outside for days.
Good drainage is designed in from the start. Because solid concrete is not porous, we plan soakaways or surface run-off into the layout so the finished surface is SUDS-compliant and meets the 2008 regulations, usually without the need for separate planning permission.
Signs you might need Pattern Imprinted Concrete in St Ives
- Weeds and moss keep pushing up through the joints in your current driveway or patio
- You are planning to sell and want a hard-wearing surface that lifts kerb appeal
- Puddles collect on the drive because the current surface drains poorly
- Cracked tarmac or crumbling concrete is spreading and getting worse each winter
- You want a single seamless surface that flows from driveway to path to patio
From the first survey to the final coat of sealant, your St Ives project stays with one experienced team who take pride in the finish. Call or message Driveway & Decking Co. and we will arrange a convenient time to visit and quote.

Cannot recommend these guys enough. James, Ross, George and John all done an amazing job transforming my driveway and patio. Professional from the outset with a final finish that impresses everyone that sees it, that will last years to come!
We had our driveway done this year and they did a fantastic job. I'm really happy with the outcome. I would recommend this company.
Had these guys do my garden from a recommendation. They have done a fantastic job . My garden now looks amazing. Anyone who's thinking of having a garden makeover or a new drive I highly recommend this company. 10/10
Fantastic team, professional but friendly. They have done a brilliant job on our front drive a few years ago and this year on our back garden, with new decking, imprinted concrete patio and pathway and finished off with a gravel area and turf. They did the whole job from start, clearing the area, working through bad weather where they could and only the recent snow held the job up and only by a couple of days! Definitely recommend 100%. Thanks guys!
Very pleased with our driveway which was completed in January. Communication before the job was great and the work was carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to get imprinted concrete work done.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Yes. The same seamless, hard-wearing surface works for patios, paths and driveways, and even commercial areas like pub gardens and shopfronts. We can run one continuous finish across your St Ives property for a joined-up look.
- Most Pattern Imprinted Concrete installations start from £70 to £100 per m². The final price depends on the size, design and groundwork involved. Driveway & Decking Co. offer a free, no-obligation quote for any St Ives project.
- We offer over a dozen basic patterns, including cobblestone, slate, brick, tile and wood effects, in shades from natural stone to bold contemporary colours, plus contrasting borders. Your choice never affects the price.
- Resealing every 3 to 5 years keeps the surface protected, vibrant and looking like new. If the colour looks pale when dry but fine when wet, it is usually time for a reseal.
- We keep disruption low. Boards protect lawns and borders, walls are masked against staining, and waste is cleared with a grab wagon rather than a skip left outside for days. One team handles your St Ives job from excavation to sealing.
- Yes. Once the surface has cured for around 7 days we power wash it and apply a solvent-based acrylic sealant. That locks in the colour, repels dirt and algae, and carries a non-slip agent for safety in wet weather.
- Yes, for most homes. It is seamless and joint-free, so weeds cannot grow through and there are no loose blocks to work free. It is also easier to maintain than block paving.
- Very little. The sealed, joint-free surface resists weeds, moss and stains. An occasional sweep or rinse is usually enough, with a clean and reseal every few years to keep it looking like new.
- Pattern Imprinted Concrete is generally similar in price to good quality tarmac, block paving or Indian sandstone. Its long life and low upkeep make it the more cost-effective choice over time for a St Ives driveway or patio.
- We recommend waiting 3 to 5 days before walking on the surface and at least 7 days before parking vehicles on it, giving the concrete time to cure fully.
