A well-laid Pattern Imprinted Concrete driveway is the first thing visitors notice about your Somersham home. Our craftsmen colour and stamp freshly poured concrete into a seamless finish, giving properties across Somersham the character of natural paving with none of the ongoing hassle.
How we install pattern imprinted concrete in Somersham
Once the concrete is poured, we add colour and press your chosen pattern into the surface while it is still fresh. The result is a seamless, joint-free finish that mimics natural stone, slate, cobbles, brick or timber, without the gaps where weeds and moss usually take hold.
After stamping, the surface is left clean and walkable for around 7 days while the concrete cures. We then return to power wash and apply a solvent-based acrylic sealant, which locks in the colour, repels dirt and algae, and carries a non-slip agent for safety in wet weather.
Signs you might need Pattern Imprinted Concrete in Somersham
- Cleaning between block pavers has become a losing battle against weeds and moss
- You want the character of natural stone, slate or cobbles without laying individual units
- The colour of your old paving has faded and it drags down the front of your Somersham home
- Your existing surface looks tired, stained or faded and lets down the front of the house
- Puddles collect on the drive because the current surface drains poorly
A new imprinted concrete surface adds kerb appeal and value to your Somersham home while cutting the time you spend weeding and cleaning. Call Driveway & Decking Co. today to book your free site survey and design consultation.

Cannot recommend these guys enough. James, Ross, George and John all done an amazing job transforming my driveway and patio. Professional from the outset with a final finish that impresses everyone that sees it, that will last years to come!
We had our driveway done this year and they did a fantastic job. I'm really happy with the outcome. I would recommend this company.
Had these guys do my garden from a recommendation. They have done a fantastic job . My garden now looks amazing. Anyone who's thinking of having a garden makeover or a new drive I highly recommend this company. 10/10
Fantastic team, professional but friendly. They have done a brilliant job on our front drive a few years ago and this year on our back garden, with new decking, imprinted concrete patio and pathway and finished off with a gravel area and turf. They did the whole job from start, clearing the area, working through bad weather where they could and only the recent snow held the job up and only by a couple of days! Definitely recommend 100%. Thanks guys!
Very pleased with our driveway which was completed in January. Communication before the job was great and the work was carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to get imprinted concrete work done.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Every site is assessed individually. In most cases we excavate and lay a fresh, compacted sub-base to guarantee durability, rather than pouring over an old surface that may move or fail.
- We offer over a dozen basic patterns, including cobblestone, slate, brick, tile and wood effects, in shades from natural stone to bold contemporary colours, plus contrasting borders. Your choice never affects the price.
- Yes. Once the surface has cured for around 7 days we power wash it and apply a solvent-based acrylic sealant. That locks in the colour, repels dirt and algae, and carries a non-slip agent for safety in wet weather.
- No. We finish every surface with a non-slip agent in the sealant, so your driveway, patio or path stays safe to walk on in all weather conditions.
- Usually not. We design drainage into the layout using soakaways or surface run-off so the surface is SUDS-compliant and meets the 2008 regulations, generally avoiding the need for planning permission.
- Resealing every 3 to 5 years keeps the surface protected, vibrant and looking like new. If the colour looks pale when dry but fine when wet, it is usually time for a reseal.
- We keep disruption low. Boards protect lawns and borders, walls are masked against staining, and waste is cleared with a grab wagon rather than a skip left outside for days. One team handles your Somersham job from excavation to sealing.
- Yes, for most homes. It is seamless and joint-free, so weeds cannot grow through and there are no loose blocks to work free. It is also easier to maintain than block paving.
- Yes. Driveway & Decking Co. are based in Sawtry and cover Somersham along with a 25-mile radius across Cambridgeshire and neighbouring counties. Get in touch to confirm we can reach you.
- Very little. The sealed, joint-free surface resists weeds, moss and stains. An occasional sweep or rinse is usually enough, with a clean and reseal every few years to keep it looking like new.
