Pattern Imprinted Concrete gives homeowners in Dry Drayton the look of natural stone, slate, cobbles or brick without the loose joints and constant upkeep. As Cambridgeshire specialists, Driveway & Decking Co. have been laying seamless imprinted concrete driveways, patios and paths since 1990.
How we install pattern imprinted concrete in Dry Drayton
The process is methodical and carried out by one team from start to finish. We excavate the area, lay and compact a solid sub-base, then pour fibre-reinforced concrete to the right depth for the job, usually around 100mm to 125mm for a driveway and 75mm to 100mm for a patio or path.
After stamping, the surface is left clean and walkable for around 7 days while the concrete cures. We then return to power wash and apply a solvent-based acrylic sealant, which locks in the colour, repels dirt and algae, and carries a non-slip agent for safety in wet weather.

Cannot recommend these guys enough. James, Ross, George and John all done an amazing job transforming my driveway and patio. Professional from the outset with a final finish that impresses everyone that sees it, that will last years to come!
We had our driveway done this year and they did a fantastic job. I'm really happy with the outcome. I would recommend this company.
Had these guys do my garden from a recommendation. They have done a fantastic job . My garden now looks amazing. Anyone who's thinking of having a garden makeover or a new drive I highly recommend this company. 10/10
Fantastic team, professional but friendly. They have done a brilliant job on our front drive a few years ago and this year on our back garden, with new decking, imprinted concrete patio and pathway and finished off with a gravel area and turf. They did the whole job from start, clearing the area, working through bad weather where they could and only the recent snow held the job up and only by a couple of days! Definitely recommend 100%. Thanks guys!
Very pleased with our driveway which was completed in January. Communication before the job was great and the work was carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to get imprinted concrete work done.
They did a brilliant job on our garden, good value and a great finish. Highly recommend :)

Frequently Asked Questions
- Yes, for most homes. It is seamless and joint-free, so weeds cannot grow through and there are no loose blocks to work free. It is also easier to maintain than block paving.
- Usually, yes. With over a dozen patterns and a wide colour palette, from natural stone tones to bolder shades, plus contrasting borders, we design the finish around your Dry Drayton home. Your choice of pattern and colour never affects the price.
- Yes. The same seamless, hard-wearing surface works for patios, paths and driveways, and even commercial areas like pub gardens and shopfronts. We can run one continuous finish across your Dry Drayton property for a joined-up look.
- No. We finish every surface with a non-slip agent in the sealant, so your driveway, patio or path stays safe to walk on in all weather conditions.
- Yes. Once the surface has cured for around 7 days we power wash it and apply a solvent-based acrylic sealant. That locks in the colour, repels dirt and algae, and carries a non-slip agent for safety in wet weather.
- We recommend waiting 3 to 5 days before walking on the surface and at least 7 days before parking vehicles on it, giving the concrete time to cure fully.
- All concrete can crack, but our reinforced method and solid sub-base greatly reduce the risk. When a hairline crack does appear it is rare and usually cosmetic rather than structural.
- Resealing every 3 to 5 years keeps the surface protected, vibrant and looking like new. If the colour looks pale when dry but fine when wet, it is usually time for a reseal.
- We offer over a dozen basic patterns, including cobblestone, slate, brick, tile and wood effects, in shades from natural stone to bold contemporary colours, plus contrasting borders. Your choice never affects the price.
- Yes. We offer finance through Ideal4Finance so you can spread the cost of your Dry Drayton driveway or patio rather than pay it all up front. Ask us for details when we visit to survey and quote.
