Thinking about a new driveway or patio in Broughton? Pattern Imprinted Concrete is one of the most durable, lowest-maintenance surfaces you can lay. Our team recreates dozens of patterns and colours on your property in Broughton, from rustic cobblestone to sleek modern slate.
How we install pattern imprinted concrete in Broughton
The process is methodical and carried out by one team from start to finish. We excavate the area, lay and compact a solid sub-base, then pour fibre-reinforced concrete to the right depth for the job, usually around 100mm to 125mm for a driveway and 75mm to 100mm for a patio or path.
Good drainage is designed in from the start. Because solid concrete is not porous, we plan soakaways or surface run-off into the layout so the finished surface is SUDS-compliant and meets the 2008 regulations, usually without the need for separate planning permission.
Signs you might need Pattern Imprinted Concrete in Broughton
- Cracked tarmac or crumbling concrete is spreading and getting worse each winter
- You are planning to sell and want a hard-wearing surface that lifts kerb appeal
- Cleaning between block pavers has become a losing battle against weeds and moss
- You are tired of spending weekends jet washing, re-sanding or pulling weeds
- You want the look of natural stone, slate or cobbles without the price or upkeep
Pattern Imprinted Concrete is generally similar in price to good quality tarmac, block paving or Indian sandstone, but its long life and low upkeep make it the more cost-effective choice over time. Get in touch to see what we can do for your Broughton home.

Cannot recommend these guys enough. James, Ross, George and John all done an amazing job transforming my driveway and patio. Professional from the outset with a final finish that impresses everyone that sees it, that will last years to come!
We had our driveway done this year and they did a fantastic job. I'm really happy with the outcome. I would recommend this company.
Had these guys do my garden from a recommendation. They have done a fantastic job . My garden now looks amazing. Anyone who's thinking of having a garden makeover or a new drive I highly recommend this company. 10/10
Fantastic team, professional but friendly. They have done a brilliant job on our front drive a few years ago and this year on our back garden, with new decking, imprinted concrete patio and pathway and finished off with a gravel area and turf. They did the whole job from start, clearing the area, working through bad weather where they could and only the recent snow held the job up and only by a couple of days! Definitely recommend 100%. Thanks guys!
Very pleased with our driveway which was completed in January. Communication before the job was great and the work was carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to get imprinted concrete work done.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Usually not. We design drainage into the layout using soakaways or surface run-off so the surface is SUDS-compliant and meets the 2008 regulations, generally avoiding the need for planning permission.
- Yes, for most homes. It is seamless and joint-free, so weeds cannot grow through and there are no loose blocks to work free. It is also easier to maintain than block paving.
- With proper care, Pattern Imprinted Concrete can last 20 to 30 years or more. Laid on a compacted sub-base with fibre reinforcement, it is a durable, cost-effective long-term investment for your home.
- No. We finish every surface with a non-slip agent in the sealant, so your driveway, patio or path stays safe to walk on in all weather conditions.
- We recommend waiting 3 to 5 days before walking on the surface and at least 7 days before parking vehicles on it, giving the concrete time to cure fully.
- Resealing every 3 to 5 years keeps the surface protected, vibrant and looking like new. If the colour looks pale when dry but fine when wet, it is usually time for a reseal.
- We offer over a dozen basic patterns, including cobblestone, slate, brick, tile and wood effects, in shades from natural stone to bold contemporary colours, plus contrasting borders. Your choice never affects the price.
- All concrete can crack, but our reinforced method and solid sub-base greatly reduce the risk. When a hairline crack does appear it is rare and usually cosmetic rather than structural.
- Yes. Once the surface has cured for around 7 days we power wash it and apply a solvent-based acrylic sealant. That locks in the colour, repels dirt and algae, and carries a non-slip agent for safety in wet weather.
- Every site is assessed individually. In most cases we excavate and lay a fresh, compacted sub-base to guarantee durability, rather than pouring over an old surface that may move or fail.
