How we install decking in Wyton
Uneven or sloping gardens are no obstacle. We design raised and multi-level decking that works with the lie of the land, creating a level, usable surface and, where it helps, separate zones for dining, seating or planting linked by steps.
Timber and composite each have their place. Timber gives you natural beauty and warmth, the classic look most people picture when they think of decking. Composite is more low-maintenance and resists fading, rot and warping, which makes it a strong choice if you would rather spend time on the deck than looking after it.
Signs you might need Decking in Wyton
- You want somewhere level and practical to relax, entertain or dine outdoors through the warmer months.
- You want separate zones for dining and seating linked together across the garden.
- You need a deck that stands up to the UK climate without warping, rotting or fading over time.
- You are choosing between the low upkeep of composite and the character of natural timber.
- Your lawn is uneven or sloping, and raised or multi-level decking would give you a flat, usable surface.
It all starts with a free consultation and a clear, written quotation, so you know exactly what your Wyton deck will involve before any work begins. Contact Driveway & Decking Co. to book yours.

Cannot recommend these guys enough. James, Ross, George and John all done an amazing job transforming my driveway and patio. Professional from the outset with a final finish that impresses everyone that sees it, that will last years to come!
We had our driveway done this year and they did a fantastic job. I'm really happy with the outcome. I would recommend this company.
Had these guys do my garden from a recommendation. They have done a fantastic job . My garden now looks amazing. Anyone who's thinking of having a garden makeover or a new drive I highly recommend this company. 10/10
Fantastic team, professional but friendly. They have done a brilliant job on our front drive a few years ago and this year on our back garden, with new decking, imprinted concrete patio and pathway and finished off with a gravel area and turf. They did the whole job from start, clearing the area, working through bad weather where they could and only the recent snow held the job up and only by a couple of days! Definitely recommend 100%. Thanks guys!
Very pleased with our driveway which was completed in January. Communication before the job was great and the work was carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to get imprinted concrete work done.
They did a brilliant job on our garden, good value and a great finish. Highly recommend :)

Frequently Asked Questions
- For many Wyton homeowners, yes. Composite costs more up front but is low-maintenance and resists fading, rot and warping, and it lasts 25 years or more with proper care. If you want to spend time on the deck rather than maintaining it, it is well worth considering.
- Absolutely. We can integrate planters, seating, lighting, steps and balustrades into your design from the start. Building features in rather than adding them later gives your Wyton deck a considered, finished look and makes the whole space work together.
- With proper care, softwood decking lasts around 10 to 15 years, hardwood 20 years or more, and composite 25 years or more. Choosing the right material and adding a low-maintenance finish helps your Wyton deck reach the top of that range.
- Yes. We design raised and multi-level decking to suit uneven or sloping gardens, working with the lie of the land to create a level, usable surface. It is one of the best ways to reclaim an awkward Wyton garden.
- Yes. We can build in planters, seating, lighting, steps and balustrades, designing them into the deck from the start. That gives your Wyton deck a finished, considered look where everything works together rather than being bolted on later.
- Yes. Finance options are available on decking, so you can spread the cost rather than pay it all up front. Our Wyton team will help you find a material, a design and a plan that suits your budget.
- It depends on the material. Composite is the most low-maintenance and simply needs cleaning, while timber benefits from occasional treatment to protect it. We offer low-maintenance finishes across our decking so your Wyton deck is easy to keep looking its best.
- We install softwood, hardwood and composite decking. Softwood is affordable and versatile, hardwood offers rich tones with premium strength, and composite is low-maintenance and slip-resistant in a choice of colours. We help you pick the right one for your Wyton garden.
- We use slip-resistant finishes across our decking and can add grip strips where extra safety is wanted. That keeps your Wyton deck safe to use in the wet as well as the dry, which matters through the autumn and winter months.
- Yes. Composite is the most low-maintenance option, resisting fading, rot and warping and needing little more than a clean. If you would rather enjoy your Wyton deck than spend time treating it, composite is well worth considering.
