Genuine Local Knowledge
As Cambridgeshire natives, we understand local soil conditions, weather patterns, and planning regulations affecting outdoor surfacing solutions .
Sloping lawns, uneven ground and awkward corners put a lot of March homeowners off decking, but they are exactly the gardens that benefit most. We design raised and multi-level decking to work with tricky Cambridgeshire plots, giving you a level, usable outdoor space where there was none before.
How we install decking in March
Uneven or sloping gardens are no obstacle. We design raised and multi-level decking that works with the lie of the land, creating a level, usable surface and, where it helps, separate zones for dining, seating or planting linked by steps.
Every project follows the same careful path: a free consultation and site visit, a custom design shaped around your garden and a written quotation, then expert installation and finishing by our own team. It is a full design-to-installation service, so one team takes your deck from concept to completion.

Cannot recommend these guys enough. James, Ross, George and John all done an amazing job transforming my driveway and patio. Professional from the outset with a final finish that impresses everyone that sees it, that will last years to come!
We had our driveway done this year and they did a fantastic job. I'm really happy with the outcome. I would recommend this company.
Had these guys do my garden from a recommendation. They have done a fantastic job . My garden now looks amazing. Anyone who's thinking of having a garden makeover or a new drive I highly recommend this company. 10/10
Fantastic team, professional but friendly. They have done a brilliant job on our front drive a few years ago and this year on our back garden, with new decking, imprinted concrete patio and pathway and finished off with a gravel area and turf. They did the whole job from start, clearing the area, working through bad weather where they could and only the recent snow held the job up and only by a couple of days! Definitely recommend 100%. Thanks guys!
Very pleased with our driveway which was completed in January. Communication before the job was great and the work was carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to get imprinted concrete work done.
They did a brilliant job on our garden, good value and a great finish. Highly recommend :)

Frequently Asked Questions
- We install softwood, hardwood and composite decking. Softwood is affordable and versatile, hardwood offers rich tones with premium strength, and composite is low-maintenance and slip-resistant in a choice of colours. We help you pick the right one for your March garden.
- We use slip-resistant finishes across our decking and can add grip strips where extra safety is wanted. That keeps your March deck safe to use in the wet as well as the dry, which matters through the autumn and winter months.
- Absolutely. We can integrate planters, seating, lighting, steps and balustrades into your design from the start. Building features in rather than adding them later gives your March deck a considered, finished look and makes the whole space work together.
- Yes. We design raised and multi-level decking to suit uneven or sloping gardens, working with the lie of the land to create a level, usable surface. It is one of the best ways to reclaim an awkward March garden.
- Composite lasts the longest, 25 years or more with proper care, followed by hardwood at 20 years or more and softwood at 10 to 15 years. We help you match material to budget and upkeep at your free March consultation.
- Yes. Raised and multi-level decking is one of our specialities, ideal for sloping or uneven March gardens and for making the most of a view. We build a sound frame and supports so the finished deck is level, stable and safe underfoot.
- It starts with a free consultation and site visit. We look at your March garden, discuss materials and design, then provide a clear written quotation with no obligation. Call or message Driveway & Decking Co. to book yours.
- It depends on the material. Composite is the most low-maintenance and simply needs cleaning, while timber benefits from occasional treatment to protect it. We offer low-maintenance finishes across our decking so your March deck is easy to keep looking its best.
- For many March homeowners, yes. Composite costs more up front but is low-maintenance and resists fading, rot and warping, and it lasts 25 years or more with proper care. If you want to spend time on the deck rather than maintaining it, it is well worth considering.
- As a guide, softwood decking starts from £120 per m², hardwood from £160 per m² and composite from £180 per m². The exact figure depends on the size, the material and any features. We provide a free, no-obligation quote for every March project.
