If you want a deck in Haddon that looks the part, stands up to the British weather and is genuinely easy to live with, it needs to be designed properly and built to suit your garden. Driveway & Decking Co. handle both, installing bespoke decking throughout Haddon and neighbouring parts of Cambridgeshire.
How we install decking in Haddon
The first decision is the material. Softwood is affordable and versatile, treated for a long life. Hardwood brings rich, natural tones with premium strength and durability. Composite is low-maintenance and slip-resistant, and comes in a range of colours. We talk you through each one so you land on the deck that suits your home and budget.
A deck is only as good as the structure underneath it, so every one we build starts with a sound, properly built frame and supports. That is what keeps the surface level, stable and safe to walk on for years, rather than sagging or flexing once the weather gets to it.
Signs you might need Decking in Haddon
- You have an underused patch of garden in Haddon that you would love to turn into a proper space for sitting out.
- You are weighing up the natural warmth of timber against the easy care of composite and want expert advice.
- You want to make the most of a garden view with a raised deck that lifts you above the lawn.
- You need a deck that stands up to the UK climate without warping, rotting or fading over time.
- Your lawn is uneven or sloping, and raised or multi-level decking would give you a flat, usable surface.
Spreading the cost is easy too, with finance options available on your decking. Get in touch and our Haddon team will help you find the right material, the right design and the right plan for your budget.

Cannot recommend these guys enough. James, Ross, George and John all done an amazing job transforming my driveway and patio. Professional from the outset with a final finish that impresses everyone that sees it, that will last years to come!
We had our driveway done this year and they did a fantastic job. I'm really happy with the outcome. I would recommend this company.
Had these guys do my garden from a recommendation. They have done a fantastic job . My garden now looks amazing. Anyone who's thinking of having a garden makeover or a new drive I highly recommend this company. 10/10
Fantastic team, professional but friendly. They have done a brilliant job on our front drive a few years ago and this year on our back garden, with new decking, imprinted concrete patio and pathway and finished off with a gravel area and turf. They did the whole job from start, clearing the area, working through bad weather where they could and only the recent snow held the job up and only by a couple of days! Definitely recommend 100%. Thanks guys!
Very pleased with our driveway which was completed in January. Communication before the job was great and the work was carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to get imprinted concrete work done.
They did a brilliant job on our garden, good value and a great finish. Highly recommend :)

Frequently Asked Questions
- Composite lasts the longest, 25 years or more with proper care, followed by hardwood at 20 years or more and softwood at 10 to 15 years. We help you match material to budget and upkeep at your free Haddon consultation.
- Yes. We design raised and multi-level decking to suit uneven or sloping gardens, working with the lie of the land to create a level, usable surface. It is one of the best ways to reclaim an awkward Haddon garden.
- For many Haddon homeowners, yes. Composite costs more up front but is low-maintenance and resists fading, rot and warping, and it lasts 25 years or more with proper care. If you want to spend time on the deck rather than maintaining it, it is well worth considering.
- Absolutely. We can integrate planters, seating, lighting, steps and balustrades into your design from the start. Building features in rather than adding them later gives your Haddon deck a considered, finished look and makes the whole space work together.
- It depends on the material. Composite is the most low-maintenance and simply needs cleaning, while timber benefits from occasional treatment to protect it. We offer low-maintenance finishes across our decking so your Haddon deck is easy to keep looking its best.
- Yes. We are fully insured and back every deck with our quality guarantee. As a family-run business with over 30 years of experience, we stand behind every installation we complete in Haddon and across Cambridgeshire.
- It depends on what you want. Timber offers natural beauty and warmth, while composite is more low-maintenance and resistant to fading, rot and warping. We help you weigh both up at your free Haddon consultation so the choice suits your garden and budget.
- With proper care, softwood decking lasts around 10 to 15 years, hardwood 20 years or more, and composite 25 years or more. Choosing the right material and adding a low-maintenance finish helps your Haddon deck reach the top of that range.
- Timber benefits from occasional care to keep its colour and protect it, while composite simply needs cleaning. We offer low-maintenance finishes across our decking, so your Haddon deck is easy to look after whichever material you choose.
- Yes. Composite is the most low-maintenance option, resisting fading, rot and warping and needing little more than a clean. If you would rather enjoy your Haddon deck than spend time treating it, composite is well worth considering.
